What's the Difference Between a Wedding Planner and a
Wedding Coordinator?

When planning a wedding, you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the information and options that are available. Your parents and wedding party are there to help, but they might not be as invested in the big day or have the same taste as you. So who do you call when you need some solid advice?
What a Wedding Planner Does
A wedding planner does literally everything for you, starting from the day you get engaged. Well, except try on the dress! Whether you're too busy with work or family to plan the wedding, or simply don't have much of an opinion on the details, a wedding planner can gather everything you need and only ask for your opinion on which cake flavor you want. A wedding planner will already know the best florist and venues in town, so you don't have to worry about all the research.
What a Wedding Coordinator Does
If you're more on the self-sufficient side, or are great at organizing and managing other people, you may be happy with just having someone else coordinate the final details in the last month or even just on the day of. Obviously, you'll be pretty busy during the big event, so you probably won't be available to make sure all the groomsmen are wearing the right ties or that the caterers have all the things they need to set up dinner. A wedding coordinator is the go-to person for these tasks.
